The pro tier is objectively the better value if you’re going to use this at all, and the math is so unsubtle that I have to assume Playbox is using the cheap basic tier as a tripwire to upsell you within two days of generating.

It worked on me. I started on basic Thursday, switched to Pro by Monday, and burned through 800 credits by the following weekend.

Would I Buy Playbox Again? Yes, With Caveats

If your use case is short NSFW video clips with a recurring character, Playbox is the only tool I’ve tested that actually delivers on the consistency promise. The image-only competitors give you better single shots; the video-only competitors give you melted faces. Playbox sits in the narrow band where both halves are competent.

I would not buy Playbox if:

• You need anything longer than seven to fifteen seconds. The format is built for short loops, not actual narratives.
• You want to read the contract before paying. You can’t.

I would buy Playbox if:

• Character consistency across scenes matters more to you than peak image quality.
• You’re comfortable with an auto-renewing subscription and a refund process that goes through support.
• Self-service account deletion is a checkbox you specifically need.

For what it’s worth: I canceled Pro after fourteen days. Not because Playbox failed, but because forty-ish scenes is enough to scratch the itch for a month.
